4. Common Questions & Solutions

Q1.The water dispenser with ice maker isnt dispensing room temperature / hot / cold water.

▶Possible Causes:

-The dispensing function is turned off.

-Water pump problem.

✅ What you can do:

Step 1: Check the water bottle and tubing

– Make sure the water bottle is placed properly within the base compartment.

 – Ensure that the suction tube is inserted fully into the water bottle.

Step 2: Check if the water dispensing function is turned off

– If the cartoon-style icon on the display isn’t lit up, it means that specific water function is turned off.

⚠️If the machine is left idle for a while after being turned on, the control panel will go dark to save energy. Simply touch any button to wake the panel up.

➡For room temperature water:

Press and hold the “Water” button. The water droplet icon should turn blue—this means room temperature water is now enabled.

➡For cold water:

Press and hold the “Cold” button. The snowflake icon will begin flashing blue, indicating the ice maker and water dispenser is now cooling and making ice.

➡For hot water:

Press and hold the “Hot” button. The water droplet icon will begin flashing blue, which means the water is heating up.

Step 3: Check the pump status after 15 minutes of powering on

– If a warning icon (exclamation mark) appears on the screen, it means the pump might be malfunctioning.

– If there’s no warning icon, the pump is working properly.

Q2: Why isn't the crushed ice maker output reaching the advertised 35 lbs per day?

▶In-depth Explanation & Solutions

How ambient temperature significantly impacts compressor efficiency

Temperature sensitivity:

IcePure ice makers can reach peak output in environments between 68–75°F (20–24°C).

If room temperature exceeds 80°F (27°C), the compressor works harder, which may reduce daily crushed ice output by 15–20%—resulting in around 28–30 lbs per day.

✅ What you can do:

Avoid exposing the apparatus to rain and moisture, and do not put it under direct sunlight for a long time.

In warm seasons, at least 6 inches all around the home ice maker for ventilation. There’s an air-cooling accessory that might also be worthwhile adding within proximity.

When the humidity level is over 60%, then frost builds upon the condenser much more quickly.

Q3. Crushed Ice Not Dispensing Smoothly / Ice Outlet Jammed

▶Symptoms may include:

-Large uneven ice particle sizes or clumps of ice powder

-Metallic scraping sounds or unusual vibrations during operation

-Machine suddenly powers off when crushed ice is in use

✅ What you can do:

– Use a flashlight to carefully check the crushed ice outlet and see if there are any foreign objects stuck between the ice blades.

Q4. Strange Odor When Using ice maker water dispenser for the First Time

Root Cause:

During manufacturing, the internal water lines may retain trace amounts of test water or lubricant. Using the ice machine maker right out of the box can result in:

– A plastic smell (from volatile compounds in PE materials)

– Metallic taste (from minor oxidation at stainless steel welding points)

Cleaning Steps:

You’ll need:

– 50g of baking soda or 200ml of fresh lemon juice

– Warm water (about 40°C / 104°F – do not use boiling water to avoid damaging the rubber seals)

– Clean lint-free cloth

▶Step-by-step guide:

  1. Unplug the machine. Fill a 5-gallon bottle with 1/3 clean water.
  2. Add baking soda or lemon juice to the bottle, shake to mix, and pour into the machine’s water tank.
  3. Fill the bottle again with 1/3 clean water and add more baking soda or lemon juice.
  4. Insert the water pump tube into the bottle and power on the machine. It will automatically draw the solution into the room temperature water tank.
  5. Let the solution sit for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, dip the cloth in the solution and wipe down the water outlet and the inner walls of the crushed ice compartment.
  6. Reconnect power and run room temperature, cold, and hot water modes for 30 seconds each to allow the solution to flow through the entire system.
  7. Drain all the solution, then refill the ice maker water dispenser with purified water and rinse 3 times until the odor is completely gone.

Q5. Water Leakage or Dripping

▶Possible Causes:

  1. Cracks in the room temperature or hot water tank
  2. Internal hot water pipe has become detached
  3. Drain cap is damaged or not tightly sealed

(Also check if the internal pipe connections or bottom drain hole are clogged)

✅ What you can do:

  1. Remove the back panel and locate the source of the leak.
  2. If the water tank is damaged, please contact our customer service team.

If a pipe has come loose, you can secure it back in place with a zip tie.

  1. Check the drain cap to ensure it’s tightly fastened and not damaged.

   – If it’s just loose, tighten it by hand.

   – If it’s damaged, please contact customer service for assistance.

5. Usage & Maintenance Tips for Best Performance

– Regularly flush the water lines and empty the tanks every 3 months

– Keep the unit in a well-ventilated area and avoid placing it under direct sunlight or in high temperatures
