This under the sink water filtration system is a top of the line five star product.Very simple and easy to install and took me 15 minutes. Simply connect the cold water line under your sink to the input of the filtration system and the other end to the output to your kitchen faucet. This unit should only be connected to the cold water line, not the hot water line. After you install the unit you need to flush out the three filters by letting the water run for 10 minutes straight.I confirmed that this unit does what it claims by filling up a glass of water before and after I installed this unit. The before water tasted terrible and the water after I installed the filtered was 100% better, no funky taste and much better.I bought this unit to pre-filter tap water which I then run through a Berkey water filter/purifier so between this filtration system and the Berkey I feel confident that I now have the best possible clean, filtered, purified water on the planet.
I needed a replacement water filter for my Samsung fridge so I ordered this one. When it arrived, I was at first a bit concerned since the body has a hexagonal shape instead of square like the other filters that I have used. However, the length of the filter and the head where it seals into the fridge was exactly the same so I tried it out. The filter fit in fine and installatuin difficulty was the same as other filters. You twist it in to lock it in and it's good to go.After dumping out the first few gallons to make sure the filter is properly flushed, the taste of the water seems fine. I don't notice any real difference in the taste of the water from my other filters; however, I did notice the water coming out looking cleaner and clearer than the end of life filter that I was previously using. Therefore, it looks like the filter is doing its job.The filter should last for about 6 months which is pretty standard for fridge water filters and I'll update the review if the water quality seems to go down before then. The price is $19 for 1 filter, which is much better than OEM filters from Samsung but also a little more expensive than other water filters that I have purchased in the past. If the filter lasts 6 months while keeping the water quality good, then I would say it's worth the price.
These work great. No complaints about their quality or compatibility. The only piece of information missing in this listing is that these filters lack the smart chip (or whatever it is) that resets the filter and lets the machine know that you put a new filter in. So the “change filter” light stays on even after the filter has been reset.
