How to Install ICEPURE ICP700-F2 Reverse Osmosis System?
Installing the ICEPURE ICP700-F2 Reverse Osmosis System requires connecting the feed water line, RO faucet, drain line, filter cartridges, and power supply. Before installation, prepare all the necessary tools and read through the steps to make sure each connection is installed correctly.
Required Tools
Prepare the following tools before starting:
- Variable-speed drill
- 1/4″ drill bit for the drain line
- 1″ drill bit for the faucet hole
- Adjustable wrench or pliers
- Screwdriver
- Towel
- Flashlight
Note: The installation tools listed above are not included with the RO system. Please prepare them before installation.
Installation Steps
I. Install the Feed Water Adapter
Connect the feed water adapter to the cold-water supply according to the installation position and instructions provided with the Reverse Osmosis System.
Make sure the connection is securely tightened before turning on the water supply. Do not open the water valve until all tubing connections have been completed and checked.
II. Install the RO Faucet
If your sink does not already have a suitable faucet hole, drill a 1″ hole in the appropriate location.
Step 1: Insert the faucet through the pre-drilled hole in the sink.
Step 2: From underneath the sink, secure the faucet using the included washer and nut. Tighten it securely without overtightening.
Step 3: Push the 1/4″ quick-connect fitting onto the bottom of the faucet’s threaded stem.
Step 4: Insert the 1/4″ blue PE tubing fully into the quick-connect fitting.
Step 5: Pull the tubing slightly outward after insertion and secure it with the 1/4″ lock clip.
Important: Make sure the PE tubing is inserted completely into the fitting to help prevent leaks. If the tubing is too long, cut it straight and cleanly with sharp scissors before connecting it.
To disconnect the tubing: Remove the retaining clip, press down on the collet, and pull the tubing firmly out of the fitting.
III. Install the Drain Saddle
The drain saddle connects the under sink reverse osmosis water filter system’s drain tubing to the sink drainpipe.
Step 1: Drill a 1/4″ hole in the drainpipe. Do not drill through the opposite side of the pipe.
Step 2: Attach the foam seal to the front plate of the drain saddle, making sure the holes are aligned.
Step 3: Slide the front plate onto the unmarked end of the tubing and insert the tubing approximately 0.6″ into the drilled hole.
Step 4: Position the back plate on the opposite side of the drainpipe and tighten the screws and nuts evenly while keeping the tubing properly seated. Snap the lock clip onto the fitting to secure the tubing.
IV. Install the Reverse Osmosis System Filter Cartridges
Before installing the cartridges, remove the protective packaging from the new filters.
Step 1: Insert the filter cartridge into the corresponding filter housing.
Step 2: Rotate the cartridge clockwise until the lock symbol aligns with the corresponding icon.
Step 3: Repeat the process for the remaining filter cartridges in the correct sequence.
Make sure each cartridge is fully locked into position before proceeding.
V. Connect the Water Tubing
Before connecting the tubing, determine the required length and cut the tubing cleanly if necessary.
Important: Remove the port plugs before connecting the tubing.
Connect each tube to the matching port:
- INLET: Insert the white water tubing into the white INLET port.
- PURE: Insert the blue water tubing connected to the RO faucet into the blue PURE port.
- DRAIN: Insert the red water tubing into the red DRAIN port.
Push each tube fully into the corresponding port until it reaches the marked insertion line. Then secure each connection with the appropriate lock clip.
Double-check the tubing connections before turning on the water supply.
VI. Connect the Power Adapter
Insert the DC head of the power adapter into the POWER port on the back of the RO system.
Do not plug the power adapter into the electrical outlet until you have checked the water connections and confirmed that there are no leaks.
VII. Start Up the RO System
After completing the installation, follow these steps for the first startup.
Step 1: Open the cold-water valve and carefully inspect the feed water adapter and other water connections for leaks.
Step 2: If there are no leaks, connect the power adapter to a properly grounded electrical outlet.
Step 3: Turn on the RO faucet. When using the system for the first time, flush the entire system for 30 minutes before drinking or cooking with the filtered water.
Step 4: After flushing is complete, turn off the faucet and check all connections again to make sure there are no leaks.
Step 5: Secure the power adapter with cable ties so it does not move or come into contact with water. Keep the power adapter away from water sources, pipe fittings, wet floors, and other damp areas.
Electrical Safety
For safe operation, the power plug must be connected to a grounded electrical outlet that complies with applicable local electrical codes and regulations.
If the installation is complete and the power outlet is working normally but the RO system does not turn on, contact ICEPURE customer support using the contact information provided in the product manual.
ICEPURE ICP700-F2 Filter Replacement Guide
Regular filter replacement helps maintain the filtration performance and water quality of the ICEPURE ICP700-F2 RO Water System. The replacement schedule depends on the filter type and household water usage.
| Filter | Filter Name | Filtration Function | Recommended Replacement |
|---|---|---|---|
| PCF | 3-in-1 Integrated PCF Composite Filter | Reduces sediment, rust, colloids, residual chlorine, and odor while improving water taste | 6–12 months |
| RO | Integrated RO Membrane Filter | Reduces heavy metals, fluoride, nitrates, and other harmful chemical contaminants | 24–36 months |
Note: Actual filter life may vary depending on water quality, water consumption, and usage conditions. Replace the filters when required by the system or according to the recommended replacement interval.
How to Replace the Filters
Step 1: Close the cold-water valve, turn on the RO faucet to release water pressure, and unplug the power supply.
Step 2: Rotate the old filter cartridge counterclockwise to unlock and remove it.
Step 3: Insert the new filter cartridge and rotate it clockwise until the lock symbol aligns with the corresponding icon.
Step 4: Repeat the process if another filter cartridge needs to be replaced.
Step 5: Reset the filter indicator by pressing and holding the corresponding filter reset button for 3 seconds until the prompt sound is heard and the indicator light turns blue.
After replacing the filter, check the connections for leaks before returning the system to normal use.
